<sub>[Wrath sniffs slightly. He's long since 'gotten over' his and Lust's brief but violent time spent as enemies, but Homunculi are nothing if not petty grudge-holders. >:c Of course she never killed Envy because she was mad at him...]

[But he swaps the pout out for laughing as the Rattata skitters over Envy's feet and disappears into the shadows.]</sub>

What was it like last time?

Were you the one who set it on fire?

[Envy lets out a bark of a laugh, bending one arm up and flipping his hand in an Elaborate Envy Shrug. He grins at Wrath over his shoulder.]

Maybe I did.

But nah, place has been burned down for like a hundred years. Last time I was here...it was in the fall, I think, and there were leaves everywhere. It hasn't changed much on the inside.

There's some ladders further in, you wanna see the basement?

Yeah!

<sub>[You'd think he'd dislike basements more, after having been locked in one for the better part of two months.]

[But he pretty much bounced back from that like a rubber band.]

[If only ALL his bad experiences went away so quickly.]</sub>

Maybe there's abandoned human treasures down there.

Who knows? I didn't find any last time, but I wasn't really looking for it.

This place was important, I bet we could find something.

[Homunculi: not exactly respectful of potentially sacred artifacts.]

[Envy picks his way across the creaking floor, figuring Wrath will follow as he heads towards the back, where a somewhat precarious ladder leads down towards the basement.]

[Something that sounds almost like fabric rustles nearby, but Envy doesn't pay it much mind. Probably another Rattata building a nest or something, not even worth shining the flashlight at.]

[But the two homunculi are being WATCHED.]

<sub>[Wrath does indeed follow, matching Envy step for step. Not so unlike he always had just after joining the other Homunculi in the first place.]

[He does, however, stop and tilt his head at the rustle. He's always had a sharp sense for out-of-place sounds.]

[He lingers at the top of the ladder for a second or two before continuing on after Envy.]</sub>

[For the moment, nothing comes of the rustling sound.]

[Although if Wrath keeps listening...it seems to follow them down the ladder, a minute or so behind.]

[Not that whatever it is is visible. Once they're down in the basement, there's even less sunlight filtering in, and it already wasn't a whole lot. Envy sweeps the beam around at the floor and walls, but not back at the ladder.]

Okay, so now that we're down, where d'you think we'd find some treasure?

<sub>[Wrath loves chasing Rattatas, but he loves doing things with big brother even more, so although he occasionally catches the rustling, his interest is mostly in whatever Envy illuminates with the flashlight beam.]

_{[Which he promptly throws himself down and starts to dig in. It's thick and silty-- mostly undisturbed by trainer presence. Even if the place is open to the public, not that many people actually go down to mess around in the basement.]}
